Wee Weka Reviews: Fitted Pocket, Training Knickers, Side Snap

I have made all of my little boy's nappies and my favourite pattern is the WeeWeka fitted pocket. I love everything about it. It's easy to sew and can be made in a variety of fabric combinations. I have made them using PUL and fleece and terry so that the nappy can be snappied (they need a cover of course!). The nappies are trim and really suit my very skinny legged boy.

I prefer to sew using a 1cm seam allowance and so I needed to add 1/2 cm to the pattern to allow for that. I also used this pattern as a cover by adding an extra 1.5cm around the leg area and the rise.

When my little boy began TT I made some of the Wee Weka Pull on Training Knickers. Once again I used a variety of fabric combination, including some with PUL in the wet zone to help contain any little accidents. We really liked them and will sew up a few more pairs.

I have also made the Shars version on the Wee Weka side-snap in NB size as a gift. From all reports it was very popular and I will make more for gifts.

I loooove the Wee Weka patterns and highly recommend them. The instructions are clear and come with pictures, so they make a great pattern to try if you are new to nappy sewing.
